Your armpit may be colonized by staphylococcus bacteria causing recurring folliculitis. In my experience the most effective method of eradicating the bacteria is with a ,10-14 day course of an effective antibiotic like dicloxacillin as long as you're not allergic to penicillin. Discuss this with your physician or consult a dermatologist
