Possibilities: There are a number of glandular structures in that area along with lymph nodes.The glands that support sweating & odor production can become infected. The lymph glands in that area service the skin & structures of that arm and shoulder. These can enlarge with local skin irritation, infections or other issues. An exam is likely needed to sort this out.
