Concerning : Leg pain could be associated with colon cancer. You should see your oncologist and  should get appropriate imaging for the area that you have pain in.  This pain could also most probably be muscle or skeletal pain but since you have colon cancer you should get checked out.

: No one cannot get colon cancer from hip pain. However, some cancers that are discovered late may cause distant symptoms such as pain at different locations, such as hip even though they originate in different other organs, lung, prostate or colon for example.

Swelling &amp; cancer: Thigh high compression stockings may be helpful but will not treat the underlying condition.  Diuretic pills could also be used in this situation.

Maybe: First off, if you've been told you probably have colon cancer, check it out right away, get treated.  Numbness after going to the restroom suggests you are sitting in one position too long.  This can occur if you have a partial blockage from a cancer  which makes it hard to eliminate the feces.  It could also be totally unrelated perhaps some spinal problem.  As always, let your physician evaluate.

Need eval: definitely, you will need to get further evaluation. you would need to have a GI work-up to find the source of iron deficiency, also would need to get imaging studies- CT scan chest,abd,pelvis and some other blood work to find other causes of extensive blood clots. please discuss in detail with your hem/oncologist. Edema?: The swelling you mention could be related to accumulation of fluid, which tends to collect in gravity-dependent parts of the body.  If the liver starts to malfunction, our levels of serum proteins decrease, which leads to fluid leaving the bloodstream and entering other parts of the body, like the legs and such.  If this is new, you need to be seen for some blood testing.

Colon cancer: Less likely. Colon cancer commonly present with GI symptoms first if any. 
Risk of colon cancer is determined by age, family history of colon cancer under age 50, personal history of colon cancer or polyps, and high risk genetic syndromes. Under age 50, the risk of colon cancer is relatively low unless with high risk features as above. However, if your pain persist, you should be evaluated.

Don't worry: Your concerns about the possibility of cancer are unfounded. Colon cancer usually presents in someone over age 50 with a change in bowel habits, decreased caliber of stools, detection of occult blood in the stool, or iron-deficiency anemia. Colon cancer doesn't usually present as some sort of pain.
