Don't worry: Your concerns about the possibility of cancer are unfounded. Colon cancer usually presents in someone over age 50 with a change in bowel habits, decreased caliber of stools, detection of occult blood in the stool, or iron-deficiency anemia. Colon cancer doesn't usually present as some sort of pain.
