Hip dislocation. : Usually speaking, a postoperative hip dislocation can be reduced (which means they put the hip replacement back into the socket where it belongs). This can sometimes be done without having to operate again. This person should be seen by an orthopedic surgeon for options, and also to make sure that a dislocation is actually what is going on.

i started experiencing hip pain after a long run. the pain mostly occurs at the end of a step when i push my toe off the ground. it also hurts my hip when i'm lying down and try to lift my straight leg. no noticeable swelling. cause/treatment ideas?

: Hip pain can be denoted in different areas.  Some people say hip, and point to their SI joint, groin, or the outside of the hip.  It could be as simple as a muscle strain, or a tendonitis, or more serious like a bulging disc causing the radiating pain from the lumbar spine.  I would recommend a physical exam by your primary doctor first.  You may need rest, physical therapy, or imaging.

around my vulva is pain when i use my hand to push it. when i standing 4-5' my vulva and joints hip pain, when i sit , they will pain more, the pain spread to my butt and legs. its more comfortable when i lying down. which doctor i should visit?

: There is no point second guessing the cause; if it is severe enough for you not to be able to walk it is important for you to have clinical evaluation and probably imaging evaluation if available to you.

Hard to say: There are several possibilities and an exam could probably determine the cause.  Probably the three most common causes in a 17 year old would be a soft tissue condition around the hip such as a tendinitis, or an inflammatory condition of the hip itself such as a synovitis, or that it is a non musculoskeletal condition involving the abdomen or pelvis.  Consider being seen.

Thigh with calf pain: Pain in that area is typically from a nerve injury or part of the muscle fascial complex on the lateral part ot f the hip and thigh which helps pull your leg away from the midline. Either can be worsened by certain positions including the supine position

See an Ortho Surgeon: It could be a few things -- possibly, spinal problem (for example a herniated disc pushing on a nerve), versus symptomatic hip joint arthritis if pain is in front of the thigh, etc. You physician will help diagnose the cause of your symptoms and start treatment.

Left hip pain: May be scaitica. Sitting  is  stress on  spine. Consider ergonomic chair with lumbar support. At work change position ( i.e. get up for a moment every 45 minutes to  an hour) to shake out, Consider a trial of NSAIDS ( motrin/alelve ) and muscle relaxant( if not allergic). Rarely may also be related to ovaries/ colon, retroperitoneal issue so may consider ultrasound or CT abdomen. f/u w/ doc
