i am having pain in my second toe (none at base of toe) at the last knuckle and tip of the toe. it is an achy pain that seems to stay even with rest.

OH my aching toe!: You have  provided a pretty good description of the distal phalanx and distal interphalangeal joint of the second toe.  Often times this toe is a bit longer than the others. It is because of the extra length that this toe can be bumped or jammed more readily. Some times this type of injury is not felt initially, but is noticed some time after the fact. Often, Motrin and protecting the toe help.

i have pain in the base and a sharp pain at the tip of the second toe. the pain has moved to the base of the third and fourth toe. i did not have any injury. it feels like its swollen, but is not. it feels like a wrinkle. what should i do?

Metarsalgia: It may be metatarsalgia, or ligament damage to the joint capsules for your MTP joints 2-4. It could be from repetitive micro trauma (not necessarily a big injury) but over time due to overloading conditions, cause swelling and pain to the ball of the foot.  You may need to be evaluated for ligament rupture.

the base of the second toe of my right foot is mildly numb. there is no pain and i don't believe here is any swelling either. please help.

Neuroma: Your symptoms are consistent with a possible morton's neuroma. Look it up. This is a localized nerve issue, which should only affect the bottom area of the base of a toe  many treatment options. Diagnosis may change, as your symptoms change.

See Podiatrist: Any warmth,  tenderness, red or purple coloration, or limited range of motion?   Any trauma?  Don't know your age or past history?  A podiatrist is likely to be able to accurately diagnose the cause of these symptoms.

i have 2 issues with my left foot. the first is a sharp pain on the pad of my foot between the 3rd and 4th toe. the second is a pain/feathering(?) between my big and second toe when i lift the second toe, this is also numb between the base of both?

: Pain in the foot can be caused by injury (if you experienced a traumatic blow or pressure), muscular (if you overexerted by exercise or long standing), and tendon (if there was a stretching or movement that might have damaged tendons or ligaments). Your best option is to have the foot examined to make sure there is nothing going on that needs treatment. It may get worse if left untreated.

A corn is a : Symptom of some sort of structural problem, usually a hammertoe. Any treatment to the corn will only be temporary unless the underlying structural problem is fixed. This usually means surgery. If cutting the corn down (don't do this yourself) keeps you comfortable for a long time, there is no need to rush into surgery as long as you understand cutting the corn is not a cure.

Nerve related: if you do not have any sores on your toe and it is most likely nerve irritation this could be from local nerve irritation or possibly a neuroma or even from higher up at the ankle or even in the low back area. If anti-inflammatories do not help in a couple of days then it is reasonable to get checked by a medical professional.

Easily identified.: Bumps, especially on toes, can be due to a variety of conditions. Included in the mish-mash of reasons are bony growths, cysts, foreign bodies. Location of the growth would help with identifying the reason. The best thing to do is have your toe examined by a specialist that treats feet.

Have it checked out: Very possibly you injured, even fractured, your toe and now are altering your gait to avoid pain. This can lead to all kinds of problems. It can throw your entire lower extremity alignment out of place (hips, knees, ankles, feet) and lead to complicated, chronic problems. Make an appointment with a Podiatrist or Orthopedic foot specialist for x-rays and expert evaluation. Good wishes:)

Morton's neuroma: More often than not this is caused by a compression of one of the intermetatarsal sensory nerves. The nerve swells, becomes surrounded by scar tissue and can either hurt, go numb, tingle, burn or all of these symptoms may occur.
