Not Advisable: Not advisable to take naproxen together with omeprazole. Using these medications together may affect the enteric coating of naproxen, causing the medication to be released too early in the body. This can make naproxen less effective. Try taking them at least 8 hours apart to prevent this effect.

i have a pinched nerve. i've been taking 2 aleve twice daily for pain but it doesn't seem to help. can i take 3 aleve twice a day? oh, i also take omeprazole and bisoprolol regularly?

Yes ... but: The difference between 2 Aleve (Naproxen) and 3 is probably going to be trivial - but 6 pills daily (3 twice daily) is more likely to give you an upset stomach.  If its REALLY is a pinched nerve (lasting many weeks and relapsing over and over again), Aleve will provide only minor relief.

You need to see an Orthopedic doctor, get a diagnosis and treatment

No: Naproxen is a non steroidal anti inflammatory agent. Omeprazole is a protein pump inhibitor used in gastric disease/ reflux.  Not the same

Well: You need to see doctor way to long a time to take naproxen. This is a medication not meant to be used like this. Better get checked out

Gi discomfort: it sounds like your stomach may not do well with the anaprox (naproxen) [naproxyn] even if it is given with omeprazole which should protect the stomach lining.  I would discontinue taking naproxyn, and try taking some anti-acid for immediate relief.   Please see your health care provider for further evaluation.

can i take prilosec omeprazole for life time? is it safe to take it since am taking 2000 mg daily of naproxen for osteoarthritis ?

Yes and ??: The complications associated with prolong PPI ingestion are mainly consequences of the reduction of stomach acid. This raised the possibility of GI infections like food poisoning.  Also, you will probably have poor absorbtion of some minerals like Calcium and Magnesium. You should discuss these issues with your doctor.

Yes, but....: There is still an increased risk of GI problems with a history of gerd but the concurrent use of Omeprazole reduces the risk. Stop the Naproxen at the first sign of GI problems. Also, consider an nsaids such as Meloxicam which has less GI risk than naproxen.

i have only just started on naproxen and omeprazole for forearm pain. i now have stomach pain for the last two days but stopped all tablets two days ago because of this. can either tablet cause this ? and when should it stop ?

Naproxen: Naproxen can irritate the stomach and cause stomach pain. They probably gave you the omeprazole to protect your stomach from the naproxen, but it just did not work.  I would keep taking the omeprazole for a few days to decrease stomach acid and try some tylenol (acetaminophen) for pain.

No: Alcohol is a poison that never did anybody any good, ever, so stay away from it.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex. 
Get HPV vaccine
