: A thickened lower oesophageal muscle at GOJ does not mean a precancerous condition such as Barrett's esophagus. If your symptom is trouble with swallowing (dysphagia), that could be the cause and you may need a oesophageal dilatation.

Usually reflux: The mucosa thickens to protect itself from stomach acid just as the sole of your foot thickens to protect itself under pressure or from a tight shoe.

Go see your doctor. : You didn't give your age. Younger patients can have sarcoidosis(this is not a cancer) which can cause enlarged lymph nodes. Thickening of the wall of the esophagus could be caused by chronic inflammation like from reflux. An endoscopy(looking into the esophagus) may be needed.

: It is simply a description of the esophagus. In this instance, it appears that the esophagus is slightly thickened, but it does not tell why it is thickened. You should discuss this with the Doctor Who ordered the CT scan. If it appears to be a significant issue, andupper endoscopy may be useful for sorting out the reason for the thickening. Good luck.

i had a ct scan that showed circumferential bladder wall thickening suspicious 4 cystitis (incidental finding) what could this be? ct scan was for early stage esophageal cancer that was successfully resected. normal ct otherwise?

: This is a finding found in interstitial cystitis, a condition usually causing urinary symptoms with associated discomfort in the lower abdomen.  I recommend consulting a urologist for evaluation and advice. At the very least, bladder wall thickening can can impair the bladder's ability to hold and properly expel adequate volumes of urine.

: Hard to comment with no clinical context. First, the findings are questionable, so they will have to be confirmed and endoscopy’ will be the next logical step. With diffuse thickening, an ulcer would be somewhat low in the differential diagnosis as such changes will be expected to be focal.
