What does this mean on ct scan ? mild thickening of the esophageal wall which is measures approximately 9 mm thick below the carina and 7 mm thick near the gastroesophageal junction. there is a mildly enlarged gastrohepatic ligament measuring 9 mm?

It is simply a description of the esophagus. In this instance, it appears that the esophagus is slightly thickened, but it does not tell why it is thickened. You should discuss this with the Doctor Who ordered the CT scan. If it appears to be a significant issue, andupper endoscopy may be useful for sorting out the reason for the thickening. Good luck.
