Examples include Prozac, Paxil (paroxetine) and Zoloft etc. Choosing the right drug within this class should be done based on your medical history and possible side effects during a consultation with a Psychiatrist. There are also other therapies that may be effective in addition to medication.

Hello. : Hello. Agree with the previous input from dr. Kardener.  There are excellent medications for obsessive compulsive disorder - many of them are in a class of medications called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. Although these are antidepressant medications they are also used for anxiety disorders. Obsessive compulsive disorder is an anxiety disorder.
