Surgery discussed?: Unless there is something else significant in your history or you are wanting  to avoid surgery at all cost, surgical treatment would be a reliable next step.  Typically, a combination of a metal plate and screws is placed to rigidly hold the bone ends (even compress them) together and allow bone healing.  The bone movement a cast allows is not made better by a stimulator.

Depends: If it is really an isolated fibula fracture, they usually do not need surgery.  Sometimes, however, the fibula fracture will be associated wth a complete tear of the deltoid ligament on the inside of the ankle.  In that case, the talus will sometimes start to drift laterally and surgery is required to prevent post traumatic arthritis and instability in the ankle.  Follow up with orthopedic surgeon

Exam: You would definitely want to be fully examined to rule out any associated ligamentous injury to the ankle or knee, which is fairly common with that fracture.  If it is truly an "isolated" fracture, patients can gradually increase their weight bearing as tile rated and are usually doing well by about 6-8 weeks.  Discuss your specific case with your doctor.

Depends on stability: Nondisplaced weber b fractures can often be treated nonsurgically.  The decision to operate on these depends on the stability of the deltoid ligament.  An orthopaedic surgeon can evaluate your xrays and perform a stress xray of your ankle to test for this and help you make decisions regarding surgery.  Surgery does not heal the ankle faster, just with the bones in a better position when necessary.

Vitamin D & Calcium: Consume a diet high in vitamin d and calcium.  A vitamin supplement containing these at fda recommended levels would be helpful.
