A member asked:

I have oblique distal fracture of the fibula; week 11 and still not healed. my dr bone stimulator at 90 day mark because insurance won't cover before.

Surgery discussed?: Unless there is something else significant in your history or you are wanting to avoid surgery at all cost, surgical treatment would be a reliable next step. Typically, a combination of a metal plate and screws is placed to rigidly hold the bone ends (even compress them) together and allow bone healing. The bone movement a cast allows is not made better by a stimulator.
