Still the basics: To lose weight insure that calories burned &gt; calories consumed. Drink at least 8  - 8 oz glasses of water per day. Try for 8 hours of sleep/night.  Aim for at least 5 servings of vegetables &amp; 4 servings of fruit per day. Use whole grain when possible. Avoid sodas, alcohol &amp; junk carbohydrates. Get in a good mix of aerobic &amp; weight lifting exercises.

Then the doctor answer questions, and examine your child.  In the US, 2 vaccines are generally given TDAP which is tetanus booster with pertussis and diptheria required for 6th grade. The second vaccine is for meningitis.  There should also be a discussion about HPV vaccine.

Eating can be a battle ground unless you honor their choosing ability.   Offer which chair to sit in, which food to eat first, how much food to be served.   Let them choose which silverware everyone has to use first.   Make it a choosing game and stop worrying!!
