Yes: Yes, there will be some spotting or bleeding after the procedure. It is perfectly normal. Anytime the uterus is manipulated in this way there will be some bleeding and discharge.

Very: I assume that the biopsy was done for symptoms or as f/u for the prior biopsy and/or surveillance. If the findings were normal and the report agrees with your doctor's impression, then it's very accurate.

im having hysteroscopy. i cant afford general anaesthesia so i opted for local only. will this be extremely painful? not sure if there will be polyp removal, its unlikely as us was normal. possible endometrial biopsy?

: It is certainly possible to do a hysteroscopy under local with minimal discomfort, but that very much depends on the skill of your doctor and exactly how they manage it. The information you provide is insufficient to explain the justification for doing the hysteroscopy in the first place. Endometrial biopsies are usually tolerable without anesthesia but can still be painful.

Make sure: When Bx is done it takes sample from few spots....which can miss a focal disease. D&amp; C gets all the endometrium out and gives a better chance od Dx. If superficial enough it may cure it also. Not knowing your age, disease hx, duration, reproductive hx.....this much can be said.

Unlikely: Alot depends on your biopsy diagnosis.  If it wasjust a thickened lining, and no evidence of hyperplasia, and you were treated with Progesterone for 7 months, a maligancy would be very unlikely.

How do you feel?: Ideally it is best to wait until you are completely healed. Hat would be about 6 weeks.  However if you feel fine and you are not tender or sore give it a try.

Not entirely - : To make these diagnoses - of cancer and hyperplasia - a pathologist really must examine slides of biopsies or smears. These diagnoses cannot be made with any certainty without microscopic examination.

i can do a office hysteroscopy with no anesthesia but people are telling me the biopsy part is the worst. i'm just curious is there a difference in pain scale for endometrial biopsy to a uterine polypectomy with no anesthesia? is a polypectomy easier?

: A hysteroscopic polypectomy is a more extensive procedure than an endometrial biopsy. Everyone handles pain differently. Your surgeon likely has protocols in place to help minimize discomfort. Consider a preop visit with your surgeon to go over the process and options.

Clots?: Many perimenopausal women do not produce enough progesterone.  The Prometrium (micronized progesterone) will help to keep your uterine lining thin.  If you take the Prometrium (micronized progesterone) each month, your heavy bleeding should improve.

If you continue to have heavy bleeding, you may need a higher dose of prometrium, (micronized progesterone) take it for more days or change to a different progesterone.

hysteroscopy/ endometrial biopsy/ d&c 2 weeks ago. minor bleed 3 days + 4 days spotting postop.  now heavy flow.  period, or problem?

Likely okay: When a woman has a d;c it usually removes her lining.  So long as not soaking a pad in 1-2 hours or less, likely okay. If you're already anemic, however, or have other medical problems, you might want to go to the er to make sure that you're okay.  Heavy flow in and of itself, doesn't really describe how much bleeding you're having.  You can always talk to your doctor or whomever is oncall.
