Not necessarily: Some free fluid can be normal.  It can also be from a ruptured ovarian cyst.  Also ascites is free fluid from various diseases.  But a little fluid usually not bad.  Your doctor will help determine the cause.

Few things: Sometimes the exam can be painful just because it is an uncomfortable procedure other times because there is an abnormality they are pressing on. The free fluid depends on how much. A tiny amount is normal in females.

Nonspecific findings: Free fluid could be transient from a normal rupture of a common ovarian cyst. This  means nothing. The fluid could be from a cause that may need follow up however. Mild prominence of an ovary is also vague.
A repeat U/S may be in your future as the test is without much risk and not terribly expensive. This would exclude a persistent process which may be significant. Clinical correlation is needed.

: It means there is fluid or blood in the abdomen cavity and if the volume is small it can be detected in the pelvic cavity by US.

No.: A transvaginal US uses a probe that does not release any kind of air. It is solid and it is only meant to transmit images of your inner pelvic organs. It should not cause any issues with your abdomen or bowels.

In theory only: have never seen or heard of it in over 30 years. perhaps if ultrasound was done shortly after a hysterectomy and opened the cuff.  would think it would require considerable force.

Accepted Answer

No: fertilized ovum cannot be detected that way. Egg could be in the fallopian tube and fertilizable with ovarian remnant of it gone.
Morning aftre pill is generally given wihout testing.

i had a transvaginal ultrasound which showed fluid in the right adnexa. this test was done while on my cycle. one week later retested and it shows no fluid but a paraovarian cyst. could this be a sign of endometriosis?

: The fluid often represents the remaining debris (blood) after an ovulatory follicle releases an egg &amp; breaks down. This can cause pain. Nothing in this wording suggests  endometriosis. Please discuss the findings with the doc who knows your history and exam findings.
