Catecholamines: E and NE are made in the adrenal medulla. In Addison's, where there is no cortisol circulating, there is higher NE and lower E, presumably due to cortisol effects on the adrenal medulla production of catecholamines. If you have adrenal insufficiency and are taking your hydrocortisone, this should not be an issue.

Increase: it is believed that your norepinephrine levels increase when you withdrawl from drugs like effexor (venlafaxine) due to a surge of release from suddenly stopping the drug, but serotonin is the biggest issue when you withdrawl from some of this class of drugs, so called "serotonin syndrome"

Tyrosine: Some feel that stress depletes catecholamine neurotransmitters such as norepinephrine in the brain.Tyrosine is a precursor for the synthesis of catecholamines, norepinephrine, epinephrine, and dopamine. Mental well-being is much more complex than any one neurotransmitter, but supplemental tyrosine may increase ne levels in the brain. Nausea, headache, fatigue, heartburn & arthralgias may come too.

There are no levels: There are no "levels" of neurotransmitters (NTs) in the brain. They don't just float around freely as if in blood. NTs are constantly being dynamically synthesized in neurons, being released into synaptic clefts, &amp; within milliseconds undergoing reuptake either before or after the molecules have been destroyed &amp; recycled into making more NTs. Furthermore, NTs differ depending on the brain region.

: Each medication has its own side effects which could be rare but it does happen. If my patient experiences a new symptom after taking a new med I always take it seriously. If sx seems tolerable I will advise to continue and most will overcome it after a couple weeks. However, if the sx seems intolerable, I will change to a different med in the same group as a trial. Ask your doc for an alternative

: Your relatively high heart rate but still in normal range which could be a side effect of SNRI antidepressant. Continue to exercise and keep your body mass in range, you should be fine, nothing specific for a poor prognosis.
