if my diastolic bp is normal when sitting at rest (~80, sometimes less), is it okay that it goes to 90 when standing, or if i stop on the treadmill and take it at peak activity?  it goes back to normal (or below) if i sit and rest quite quickly.

BP: It is probably OK though Id suggest performing a treadmill stress test to assess your BP response to exercise,ie normal or hypertensive,Talk to a local physician

Excessive pulse: There is a normal heart rate, usually between 60 to 80 beats per minute. During exercise, heart rate increases. There is a suggested maximal heart rate that depends on sex and age. We usually suggest that during exercise heart rate should be no more than 85% of that rate. You probably were stopped because your heart rate was excessive, which can lead to problems.

No need to stop: Running 2.25 km per day shouldn&#x27;t effect your menstrual cycle.  If you decided to run a marathon (42km) that would be a different story.  It takes fairly intense exercise to bother your period.  There is no need to stop using the treadmill before, during, or after your periods.  Exercise can help with menstrual cramping.  Best wishes!

Take it easy: you do not have to stop exercising but slow down the intensity like the speed and the inclined if pain persists go to swimming if available until clear by a doctor

Depends: If you are performing squats then yes you should stop because this would cause stress to the achilles tendon. Other weight training such as leg lifts should be fine

Change up routine: The treadmill and interval routine may be too much impact on your knees. Incorporate a good warm up routine with hamstring stretching. Also consider trying ellipticals or stationary bicycle which can have less impact. Minimize resistance until you have had a chance to have a formal evaluation with a Sports MD. In addition a formal course of PT with core strengthening is likely in order.Let me know

Many causes: You should check with you home doctor about this too.

There are many causes of this.  Sometimes it could be medicines.  Sometimes it could be dehydration or a low blood sugar.  It could be an effect eating just before.  It could be it was too much work.  It could be due to your heart beat or blood pressure.

Try it without an incline next time, and be sure your stomach is empty before you begin.

l5s1 disc bulge (mar '13). recently started running again (treadmill 5k). pain in disc when running and slight numbness in tailbone. stop running?

Stop running for now: Running may not be the best exercise for you when you are still recovering from a lumbar disc bulge.  I suggest you try some low impact exercises like a stairclimber, stationary bike, elliptical machine or swimming for a while until the condition heals a bit more.  You'll get the aerobic effect of exercise without the risk of inflaming the disc.

the pain in my achellies and the side of my shin doesn't stop when i run on the treadmill.i did some icing and took rest too.what should  i do now?

Rest the tendon.: If you have Achilles tendinitis or shin splints you are going to have to rest so the tendon can repair. It might take longer than you think. It might be something else. If resting it, not running, doesn't help after a week then see your doctor. It can take a long time to heal. Stretches slowly may help.
