The main problem with the disorder is the chance of dehydration from poor fluid intake. Comfort measures & a focus on improving fluid intake are the best method of rx.

Hand Foot and Mouth: Hand, foot, and mouth disease is usually not serious. The illness is typically mild, and nearly all patients recover in 7 to 10 days without medical treatment. Complications are uncommon except for dehydration. Hand foot and mouth is contagious roughly for a few days before the symptoms appear untill they start to feel better and the spots and ulcers have healed over, so usually about 7 to 10 days.

Varies?: Main thing is not to be contagious.. It is easily spread by nose and throat secretions (nasal mucus, saliva, kissing, for example). For children, is common to transmit the disease by the fecal-oral route.Also you do not want to be in pain from blisters.Workout at home anytime.At gym when have no symptoms.Just remember highly contagious disease

Not specifically: Most women will have had the viral infection that produces HFM in childhood and be immune for their lifetime. I do see the germ pass to adults occasionally. At 21 weeks you baby has formed all its basic structure, so the most vulnerable period has passed.I know of no reported HFM effects to the fetus if a mother becomes infected.You should know in a week or so if you get it.If so let your OB know.
