Happens: Minor scrapes, cuts and other abrasions can and do happen at places like the pool. These are hard to prevent because kids play so hard. The best thing you can do is clean them well, apply a topical antibiotic ointment and cover with a bandaid. Contact your pediatrician or a foot specialist if anything looks concerning.

i cut my foot in the pool and it was bleeding could it get infected from the chlorine?

Just the opposite: Chlorine is in pools as a disinfectant, i.e. it kills bacteria and viruses. The chance of infection from a cut in a chlorinated pool less than it would be otherwise, not more. If the cut is large enough that you think it might need stitches, visit an emergency room or urgent care clinic. Otherwise, just use a bandaid and keep it clean and dry.

Yes: A few blood tests may also be warranted to make sure your blood clotting factors are working and ensure no underlying problem making you prone to foot injury (eg decreased nerve sensation in the foot).

It : It could possibly be a callus, a corn, or a wart.  There are other possibilities as well.  I would consider trying a Lactic Acid cream such as am-lactin twice daily.  In addition, consider gentle filing of the lesion on a daily basis followed by application of a salicylic acid preparation (otc) nightly.  If you don't see progress after a few weeks, consider seeing a dermatologist for diagnosis and treatment options.  I hope that helps.

Highly unlikely.: It is highly unlikely that your wound would be infected  with B. mandrillas, as it has only affected 70 people in the US for a rate of less than 1 in 5 million. The wound should be cleaned and evaluated for the need for antibiotics. Tests  for balamuthia infection are available.

Even Odds.: There is always a chance of an infection, no matter what the conditions are. Washing the area with soap and water helps, as does an alcohol bath. You next move is to keep an eye out for the classic signs of cellulitis or infection. Just to remind you, look for redness, swelling, pain and heat. Get to your doctor at the first sign of change. No time to waste.

Needs to see: See podiatrist for properly diagnose and treat, could many things, including ulcer, abcess/infection or soft tissue growth. Was any trauma involved?

Foot bath: It all depends on what the foot bath contains.At best your chances of getting an infection is negligible if the bath contains a disinfectant

i was helping a patient put his leg on the bed , he scratched my wrist with his sharp toe nail and my wrist started bleeding , i cleaned it with an alcohol pad . is it possible to get hep c, hep b or even hiv from the patient?

: It is unlikey you will get any of those diseases , unless the patient is positive for those diseases,If the wound is deep you may need antibiotics , otherwise keep the wound clean and if necessary bandage it
