i have a hard but kinda soft lump in my left ankle, its been there for months and is painful. i have had xrays in the er and they say its fine not broke. now the pain is going up my shin. what is wrong with this picture?

Nothing to see here.: The picture is crystal clear. You need to have the ankle examined by a foot /ankle specialist. Then a decision can be reached as to your options. More than likely, if the darn thing hurts, then cut it out.

Ans: Well more history is needed here. You could have eaten something contaminated?  Hard to say for symptoms are to vague. But not unusual to disrupt the capillaries when there is a great pressure.

week ago i broke the pinky toe on the same foot that i had a screw put in for jones fracture 6 yrs ago. had x-ray 4 days later worried about screw they said it was fine. now top of foot red and some swelling but it's more painful to walk every day?

: A Jones fracture is an injury at the base of the fifth metatarsal, located closer to the ankle than the toe.  Stubbing your little toe may result in a break of the little bones (phalanx fracture) of your toe but would not impart enough energy to hurt the screw or the proximal part of your metatarsal bone. The bruising of your foot is likely swelling from the toe injury. Use a hard sole shoe.

Suture: If this is near the hernia repair site, it could be due to a suture tethering connective tissue under the skin. It should go back to a normal contour within 6 months. If it doesn't, and it is bothersome, your surgeon can fix it. You should see your surgeon to be sure. Glad you're doing we'll overall.

why my emotions kinda weird? this past few week if i saw someone pretty,i suddenly broke down and cry. sayin to myself im not perfect like other people. but then the next day im fine.

Self esteem?:  There can be a fair amount of emotionality and angst that come with adolescence. If you have been cooped in due to COVID 19, that is causing a variety of emotions in some people to include depressed or anxious mood. One question: do you have negative self-talk very much - if you do, that can certainly play with your emotions. Be well.

Where does it go? 
What makes it better/worse? 
How long does it last?  
Medication helps/worsens?
 If you think it is something you eat/drink/do stop it &amp; see. If better, go back again &amp; retest until u r convinced it is something u should stop. Then stop it.

Discuss with your Drs. You all will figure it out.

In physically healthy humans, sexual arousal is not just a physical act: it requires also the right mindset and or the right partner. I suggest you stop worrying and let nature take its course without too much fixation or anxiety

i'm having 12 screws and 2 plates removed from my ankle on monday..is it going to be as painful as the last op when i broke it? thanks g

Shouldn't be: From what i've been told by patients, the surgery to remove hardware is usually much quicker recovery than the initial surgery, and usually less painful.  Keep in mind that everyone is different, and your reaction to surgery may be different than someone else's.  Good luck!
