Cool compresses: Use cool compresses on it to decrease inflammation and don't squeeze it. it should resolve in 7-10 days. If you caused an infection in the surrounding skin by squeezing it then it may get worse so in that case you should see a doctor.

Evaluation: This is a skin infection which requires antibiotic treatment.  See your physician as soon as possible.

i squeezed a blackhead on my upper lip this morning and now the area is swollen with no pain. every time i squeeze one on my lip it tends to make a whitehead pimple but this is not a pimple and is deeper in the skin. how can i reduce the swelling?

: Swelling may be caused by trauma (squeezing) or one of many other issues. Sounds like you really need the help of a specialist Dermatologist. Ask your GP for a recommendation.

May not be pimple: Be evaluated to clarify the diagnosis. Pimples on the lip are not as common as other issues. The" pimple" is more likely due to a herpes virus/ cold sore rather than acne. There are great prescription medications that can shorten the duration of the problem. Over the counter may help a little. Abscess: This would be suspicious for and abscess. Other possibility would be a sebaceous cyst.

Accepted Answer

Swelling: Never pop a pimple. Swelling of the lip is of concern for spreading infection as I'm hard pressed to otherwise explain the swelling. I recommend that you have your physician examine you or go to the hospital emergency room as systemic antibiotics may be needed.

Just a thought: might be a HERPES SIMPLEX ("Cold Sore") with infection (thus the pus) Suggest you check this out and in the meantime apply wet compresses and a anti-bacterial ointment (ask Pharmacist for recommendation) If it is herpes more SPECIFIC anti-VIRAL medication may be indicated!

Stye: There are few conditions that can cause eyelid inflammation with stye being common, specifically with pain. Applying warm compresses 3-4 times/day for 15 min may help as most resolve by themselves in 2-3 days. In case progression is noted instead, antibiotics may be needed and seeking advise from your doc ( PCP or GP) is recommended.

Several Things: This could be one of several problems, the most common of which are allergic swelling and cellulitis, a bacterial skin infection.   The pain with chewing is concerning for other oral soft tissue, sinus, tooth pathology.   This definitely needs an exam.
