Some arthritis: Certain inflammatory joint diseases can cause diffuse symptoms like you describe.  You may want to check if you have ever had an arthritis profile/bloodwork completed.  If not, talk to your primary care physician.

the last three days i have been experiencing. it started with the right lower side as stiffness. then sharp pain was shooting down leg to knee. now my back hurts when bending over, stiff and having pain when walking. what could this be? now both side?

: It sounds as though you may have had a back injury, with pain shooting down your legs, which is often known as sciatica. You should see your doctor for evaluation. Good luck.

i have a cellulites spot on my leg and it's beginning to hurt and causing my knee to stiffen at work. should i be concerned about the joint stiffness?

fell. got an mri. broke talus, and navicular bones (foot) and have a join sprain (talonavicular). said i can ditch my orth. boot after 2 months (november 9th). im still having stiffness and and still hurt with rotating foot. is that normal??

: Stiffness is expected to some extent after a fracture and wearing a boot for 2 months. Physical therapy is usually needed in order to ensure proper recovery of range of motion and strength. That is usually considered at the time of follow up with Ortho team.

: You should wait for MRI done. In the meantime, you can use Ibuprofen/Motrin/Advil OTC 200 mg x 2 tablets with foods every 6 hours as needed for pain. Remember use as needed only not around the clock.

Not always: Depending on the cause of the ankle stiffness, motion might help to remove some of the stiffness.

Range of motion.: Ankle stiffness can described as a reduced range of movement  of the foot at the ankle joint. The limitation can be mild, limited or not having motion at all. The most likely cause include paralysis, muscle and/or tendon weakness, bony or soft tissue trauma, edema and arthritis.

It is good: Range of motion is also a good exercise for your stiff ankles, but have them evaluated by a podiatrist / foot and ankle specialist...
You may need to see a rheumatologist to make sure the stiffness is not caused by a systemic problem such as rheumatoid arthritis.

AM stiffness: Morning stiffness is usually  a sign of some type of arthritic condition. Ankle arthritis is not all that common but is often seen in people who have had injuries including fractures to the ankles. It can also be seen in people who have rheumatoid arthritis and other types of inflammatory arthritis (different from osteoarthritis). See your doctor and i bet he/she can figure it out for you.
