Range of motion.: Ankle stiffness can described as a reduced range of movement of the foot at the ankle joint. The limitation can be mild, limited or not having motion at all. The most likely cause include paralysis, muscle and/or tendon weakness, bony or soft tissue trauma, edema and arthritis.
