Few things: If by brain scan you mean mri, then "white patches" at your age are probably part of aging, nonspecific, unimportant. Of course they can also represent other things such as ms. I would recommend correlating your symptoms with the finding. If you weren't being worked up for ms than don't worry about it. Hope this helps.

Talk to your surgeon: Trouble walking and a headache may be a complication of your past surgery - and it may not.  Talk to your surgeon about getting some testing done to help evaluate this important pair of symptoms.

hi , i've had dandruff problems since i was 12 ,and i am 21 now i tend to be in my scalp everyday. i get dry patches as well /scabs but i still scratch! and as i'm scratching it feels as if i'm scratching my tissue or brain until it bleeds?

if im allergic to dye what would be another way to check for spinal fluid leak besides myleogram? i have the brain sag. cant we just do a blood patch since i have chiari which is a sign of leaking plus my symptoms?

Separate problems: If you had successful vsd surgery and no problems afterwards, then this is unrelated.  Brain injury can occur during surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass but typically these effects present differently than you describe and are not typical after vsd surgery.

i am on my second patch of vivelle (estradiol) dot 0.0375 and i feel slightly less brain fog but i still get  small flashes. should i go up to 0.5?

Probably not: Eliminating all hot flashes is quite often impossible no matter how high you go on the dose. Aiming for 80-90% resolution is good. Using only the dose of estrogen that you need reduces side effects and is the correct use of this medication. Many women's hot flashes/sweats diminish greatly after 4-5 years. Hope you have this experience!

can you tell that a patch on the back directly to the left of the spine that is a few inches long and has no history of injury or surgery in the area and has lost feeling to touch and cold for a year is normal just by a physical exam and brain mri?

: I would suggest that not just brain but thoracic spine be imaged with MRI. That would help eliminate lesions of the spinal cord or disc.

Amyloid: Likely no suggestion of impending alzheimers, as cause of whatever the MRI was done for. Need to follow up with the doctor who ordered the test.

i had a mild stroke in 2003 from mixing smoking with the ortho evra patch. lately i am having episodes where a liquid is releasing in brain i get dizz?

?question: I'm sorry - i'm not sure what you mean by "a liquid is releasing in brain".  However, your type of stroke is likely not from atherosclerosis. It is more like thrombotic and possibly vasospastic.  Therefore, if you've stopped smoking and the Estrogens (presumedly you have), your risk of a second stroke would be very low. Are you taking an aspirin?
