MRI finding: The conduction fibers carry signals from the neurons in the cortex layer thru the brain axons . The  imaging of these fibers using T2  signals picks up the changes to the myelin structure described above. 
The distribution as punctate often is the end result of a microvascular insufficiecy or from injuries or migraine.. The clinical importance should be discussed with the neurologist.

: MRI is indeed nondiagnostic, and the findings can be correlated with migraine, smoking, prior head trauma, microvascular angiopathy, recreational drugs, vasculitis, even multiple sclerosis.  If your symptoms have defied explanation to date, a neurologist might be useful in uncovering causation.

: It's impossible to tell without knowing much more detail about the injury and/or seeing the MRI itself. Imaging and pathology reports are written mostly for doctors and documentation in the medical record, not the patient. Look at the conclusion or diagnosis information, usually at the bottom of the report. And discuss with your doctor. Good luck.

: The interpretation is nonspecific and nondiagnostic.  Clinical correlation with your doctor is key.  Possible reasons for the lesions include smoking, migraine, prior head injuries, demyelinating disorders, small blood vessel disease, congenital issues, use of various recreational drugs, etc.  Perhaps you can discuss the MRI with the radiologist?

Confirmation: If you have confirmed MS from other tests like a lumbar puncture and characteristic changes in your CSF, as well as clinical history that supports the diagnosis, then the foci of increased T2 intensity in the white matter may just be the areas in your brain that are being affected by the MS. Keeping track of these and their progression can help determine the progression of your disease.

See your doctor: Hyperintense white matter signals may mean nothing clinically or could be related to a host of diagnoses, including multiple sclerosis, autoimmune, etc. It has to be correlated to an exam and other testing to make any sense of it, a lot of times it is an incidental finding and means very little clinically. Your doctor will help you understand what this report means to you clinically.

: Scattered white matter signal abnormality is a non specific finding and suggest chronic small vessel disease. It’s very common with age. There are lots of reasons for small vessel disease. You need to follow up with a neurologist to evaluate causes for white matter lesions and small vessel disease. These may be seen if you have underlying disease. Please follow up with neurologist.
