Feet Tingling: I suspect your neurologist ordered the spinal MRI to assess for spinal causes of your feet tingling - nerve impingement. Non-vertigo episodes of lightheadedness and dizziness lasting weeks could be related to several things: dehydrated/not enough water, low blood sugar, low blood (anemia), too low or too fast heart rate or heart dysfunction, and less likely brain-related but should be assessed.

chance of ms if mri w/ and w/o contrast was negative1 year ago? and can one still live a full almost ordinary life with ms? i have p.o.t.s but ? ms , tingly feet, left hand, twitching, neg for neuritis

Multiple sclerosis: A year old MRI is not the means by which to evaluate the possibility of your having ms. You should be seen and fully evaluated by a neurologist.  Go soon. Good luck.

would mri without contrast find dvt? i've had back of knee and calf pain. d-dimer and ultrasound came back normal, but veins in feet&leg are bulging.

No: with these normal studies there is no reason to pursue this issue...your problem sounds like non-truncal veins

i wake up with tingling hands and feet sometimes one side or both sides. cold sensations in feet. when i get up and shake it off it goes away. easily fatigued muscles but no clinical weakness.had normal mri brain spine w/wo contrast . could it be ms?

Uncertain: Uncertain - can be a myofascial pain syndrome.
Would see a neurologist   and if you have then a rheumatologist

ive been having buzzing paresthesia in my left foot since august. i got mris of brain and spine on 1.5t w/contrast. i also got an emg. all tests were normal. the buzzing has spread to my right foot. could this be ms? i have no other symptoms.

Please repost: Unfortunately, you neglected to state what parts of your spine were imaged (cervical, thoracic and/or lumbar). And knowing you had an EMG/NCS is unfortunately not helpful without knowing what part(s) of you was/were tested.

: It is best to have persistently painful joints looked at, rather than ordering tests first.  Depending on what one is looking for, the best test may be an X-ray.  The physical exam and a good history will suggest likely possibilities.  Best wishes.

are multiple mris w/out contrast safe? i've had 4 in the past 11 months (ankle, brain mra, brain mri, and another ankle). i'm concerned about exposure

Yes,: all available data indicates they are safe.  There is no ionizing radiation(as in CT scans), so cumulative exposure is not an issue. The scans use magnetic fields to generate images.

can a knee or ankle mri without contrast show rheumatoid arthritis? or spondyloarthropathy?

Maybe: It can show arthritic changes suggestive of ra, but other forms arthritis can mimic these changes. A blood test is less expensive and can diagnose ra.

had brain and ear mri with contrast today. afterward the big joint in my right thumb n big toe are sore. no history of kidney issues.should i worry?

Unrelated: The pain is unrelated to the MRI. If it persists, have the joint pain evaluated.

Be cautious: In interpreting the study yourself. These take quite a bit of training to do interpret correctly. Best bet, have a radiologist trained in musculoskeletal MRI read the exam.
