how is antimitochondrial antibody w reflex to titer different from mitochondrail antibody igg titer, one test is postive , one is negative. are these the same test or different?

: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, there is more than one way to test for antimitochondrial antibodies and different methods do not give interchangeable result.

i had an ana ifa screen w/reflex to titer and pattern blood test & the results were a homogeneous pattern is associated with systemic lupus erythematosus, drug-induced lupus. is there a way to prove it is not drug-induced lupus? i take no medications?

: Anti histone antibody is classically associated with drug induced lupus.  Another question would be - what are the signs and symptoms suggesting lupus?  Most ANA are not significant.  Figures from 5-10% of the general population show positive lupus testing.  Most will never go on to lupus, fortunately.

No HSV in CNS: With these tests, you're obviously under a doctor's care, maybe including an infectious diseases specialist or neurologist. They can answer these questions best. But these results effectively rule out HSV infection of your central nervous system. Something else is causing the problem. That said, the HSV IgM test is notoriously unreliable. You probably also had an IgG test, probably negative.
