Should be working.: Miralax (polyethylene glycol) usually starts working within 24-96 hours. You need to make sure you are drinking plenty of water for it to work and in general. One of the most common causes of constipation is in adequate hydration and not eating enough fibre in the diet.

MRI : This is a special type of imaging in which you are placed on a bed and this is drawn back in to a tunnel It stands for magnetic resonance imaging.  It is using the atomic structure of the cells to help image the body. If you are claustrophobic this is not for you.

: Not sure what a MIR test is but I am going to assume you are talking about a MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) exam. This is done quite regularly when there is a concern for prostate cancer. An MRI shows any prostate cancer and the gland size. It is painless and requires no preparation. The will place you in a large tube for about 30 - 45 minutes to do the test. Good luck!

Don't know why...: A Mirena (levonorgestrel) - like any IUD - can come out by itself without warning. This is why it's a good idea to check your IUD strings yourself so you know it's there! Likely, you will be able to get another one. They will do a pregnancy test first, of course. Be sure to use a back-up method in the meantime so you're protected. Good luck. LGromkoMD

Neuro and Endocrine: For evaluation of an empty sella, a neurologist  and an endocrinologist are the doctors one may see.  One can ask his primary care doctor for names or referrals.

is 1mg of lorazepam enough for me to go thru a mir for a shoulder issue. i am clostraphobic shoulder issue. i have been in the marines in many dark places and am freakin out about thisn

It : It is not possible for me to tell you if 1 mg of Lorazepam is sufficient for you to feel calm during your mri. If i took 1mg of Lorazepam i would fall asleep for a long, long time.  Most of my patients feel calm when medicated with 1mg of Lorazepam but there are some people that need 2mg to get the right effect.  The best way to tell if that dose would be high enough, is by seeing how much Lorazepam you have needed in the past when your were particularly anxious.
  With that said. I would like to thank you for your service in the  United States marine corps. Many men and women who have served in combat become claustrophobic.  Sometimes the claustrophobia is part of the bigger picture of ptsd. Our wounded warriors deserve our best. If you haven't been formally evaluated for your claustrophobia i recommend you get some help either through your medical treatment facility or if you are now a vet, that you look in to the va. MRI doesn't explain: "No mass, no lesion detected" in a Radiology report usually means a normal brain MRI scan. I assume that the scan was ordered for a reason (i.e., symptoms). There are many symptoms (I would say MOST symptoms) that prompt an MRI scan &amp; cannot be explained by it. had a mir and the result letter i recieved back said i had a small vascular abnormality. what are the symptoms should i be concerned the doctor doesn't seem concerned. but i have some weird feelings in my head.

"Vascular : "vascular abnormality" is a pretty vague phrase that can mean a lot of different things.  Some vascular abnormalities need to be fixed but many don't.  Also, a vascular lesion inside the skull has different risks and treatment options than one outside the skull.

As far as the symptoms that might be caused: it really depends what the lesion is and where.  Most cause no symptoms unless they bleed.  Others might cause ringing in the ears, bulging of an eye, or neurological changes like numbness, problems with hearing, vision, or balance, or even seizures.

Whomever ordered the MRI should be willing to discuss these issues with you.  If he or she can't or won't, make an appointment with a neurologist and get him or her a copy of the mri.

hi, i had a sterile injection a few months ago for a possible slipped disc,waiting on a mir but my side by hip is causing a lot of pain i can't walk?

Severe pain: If you developed such severe pain after an injection that you can no longer walk then medical assessment is needed.
