i treated erosive gastritis caused by h-plylori. i have mild gastritis again in endoscopy with negative h-p! what's cause this time? stress?

Rx success?: Overall eradication success with treatment for H. pylori is approximately 85 to 90%. Any follow-up testing must be done after a suitable interval to allow the bacteria, if still present, to increase in numbers so as to be detectable. It is also important that you do not take any antacid or acid suppression therapy for at least 30 days prior to any repeat testing.

: I'm only familiar with 2 types of gastritis--erosive &amp; nonerosive.  I'm confused with the oxymoron of hemorrhagic and yet, no bleeding description.   Bleeding from gastritis can cause vomiting of blood which can at times look like coffee grounds or  passage of black stools.  Be vigilant.

: Neutrophilic activities indicate inflammation. No malignancy, dysplasia &amp; metaplasia are reassuring. The gastroenterologist will institute intensive treatment for a month.or so &amp; then may rescope you or not. In addition to proper diet, abstain from alcohol,excess caffeine, aspirin,anti-inflammatory meds like advil,naproxen.

: Many issues in multiple unrelated body parts. Not sure what this is but see a physcian and have a work up. Too many possibilities to even begin. Like what is your history and family history and any swimming in arears that have parasites etc.

Yes it should be: Gastritis is curable, commpletely curable provided you remove the cause. It is often caused by excessive use of pain medicines(NSAIDS) like Motrin or Naprosyn/Aleve. Antacids can prevent and treat this problem. Are you taking an antacid now????

Erosive gastritis: How to treat erosive gastritis depends on the cause. If H pylori is present, then that organism needs to be treated. If NSAIDs are involved, they probably need to be stopped. Otherwise, medications to reduce acid will usually help gastritis. Hope that helps.

May be persistent.: depending on the cause, erosive gastritis may be persistent for years. If H pylori is present, then it should be treated. If not, you may need to be on medication for it. I would return to the gastroneurologist who diagnosed the gastritis to make a plan to treated adequately for you. Good luck.

Gastritis: The gastritis depends on the layer of the stomach that is affecting.

: The report may or may not use the word erosive. You should speak to the doctor who did the procedure and ask if the gastritis seen is considered erosive. You also need to find out what the treatment will be. You likely will need a proton pump inhibitor, if you aren’t on one already. Best of luck to you!

what juices are healing for erosive gastritis ? it seems some information out saying that juices are healing and some advise against it.

Accepted Answer

Juice?: Diet is probably not a big contributor to healing.  Treatment of underlying h pylori and treatment with a proton pump inhibitor are the keystones of therapy.
