Rx success?: Overall eradication success with treatment for H. pylori is approximately 85 to 90%. Any follow-up testing must be done after a suitable interval to allow the bacteria, if still present, to increase in numbers so as to be detectable. It is also important that you do not take any antacid or acid suppression therapy for at least 30 days prior to any repeat testing.
