Reaction or Infectio: Inflammation is the body's reaction to something irritating it.  The inflammation may be a reaction to trauma (injury) or a reaction to an infection. The most common infections are to yeast, bacteria or viruses (yeast most likely). But, they may also be part of a sexually transmitted disease -- so that is the reason for additional testing of the pap smear.

It may be the best: That can be done at this time. It is a very low dose so many of the feared side effects are less likely. Also, you need to consider the alternatives and the harm of uncontrolled inflammation. Do give yourself permission to seek other opinions and to ask for even lower or more intermittent doses to be tried while carefully monitoring/measuring the effects. Good luck.

May need to see Doc.: The first thing I think of in this situation is a ruptured Baker's Cyst. That said, if there is a chance that you suffered an insect bite or breach in the skin there, you could have an infection. If you do have redness, pain and any symptoms like fever or nausea, this should be evaluated immediately. Blood clots can form in superficial or deep veins in this area, and varicose veins are common.

Secretions: Foveolar hyperplasia and metaplasia is a response of one epithelium to injury or as a reactive pattern. This is most often seen in the stomach. However, if there is irritation (chemical by secretions from the pancreas or liver) or inflammation (gallstones, alcohol, etc), you can get metaplasia in the duodenum. In general, helicobacter pylori don't grow in the duodenal ph.

Usually not: Irritable bowel syndrome (ibs) is associated with crampy abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhea alternating with constipation, but unlike inflammatory bowel disease (ibd) does not typically cause steatorhea, anemia or endoscopic findings.

: Lasting lung damage is rare after covid recovery. You're O2 saturation numbers are superb. You're out of the woods. Stop worrying!
