Difficult injury : Yes a hard soul shoe  will benefit even an orthotic would help. It’s important which particular joints were affected to determine the outcome and precise treatment.  Wearing hard sole  shoe will help.   it should heal without complications depending again what and how much you injured the foot.  You did not mention swelling or discoloration.  Taking Antiimmflammatory &amp; contrast bath will help

Sprain: The best treatment is rest, foot elevation and cold compresses the first 2 days then heat after that. Try limit walking the first few days.

Stress fracture?: The mid-foot is a common place for a stress fracture.  It could be only a sprain/strain, but a stress fracture is possible. While there is commonly pain at rest, pain only during exercise can occur. Stress fractures are often not seen initially, so if there was a negative x-ray at the time of injury it should be repeated now. CT/MRI can help make diagnosis.  Immobilization/casting may be needed.

Look for less sugar: Look for snacks with less sugar and not too many carbs (starches) in general. Snacks with sugar tend to make you want more and more. Low-carb snacks include celery with peanut butter, hard boiled eggs, nuts, cheese, lettuce wraps with lunch meat (maybe lower fat deli meat), turkey jerky, etc...
