If your child is spilling protein,  severe salt restriction and fluid restriction in addition.   I would recommend a whole foods based diet to minimize cardiovascular complications.

Small chance: If you have normal kidney function and no detectable protein in the urine right now... Well then you're doing great. There is always a small chance you will have a new kidney problem, but if you've been over 10years without any recurrence you are doing great.
