Depends on: Nephrotic syndrome is a symptoms complex and is associated with multiple underlying diseases. Treatment outcome depends on the underlying renal disease. About 2/3 of nephrotic syndrome in in children is associated with 'minimal change lesion' which carries good prognosis, i.e. maintaining normal kidney function, even if child experiences relapses.
