What is the best foods for kid having nephrotic syndrome?

Whole foods : If your child is in remission (no proteinuria) a regular age appropriate diet is best. If your child is on Prednisone a carbohydrate restricted diet (minimizing simple sugars) is best to minimize weight gain. If your child is spilling protein, severe salt restriction and fluid restriction in addition. I would recommend a whole foods based diet to minimize cardiovascular complications.

Avoid salt: Talk to your child's doctor specifically about his/her case, but when swollen, try to avoid salt.
