Not recommended. : Assuming you are on Prednisone for respiratory reasons, (asthma or other lung issue), smoking any form of substance introduces noxious particles that will perpetuate the inflammation.  Furthermore, the inflammation created by marijuana smoke inflammation is unlikely to be responsive to prednisone.  I would not advice any exposure to any inhaled noxious particles.

No: Both can cause a psychotic break. It is not worth multiplying the risk.

on prednisone for bronchitis. wont be doing any smoking but marijuana itself will not have any negative affects on my medication? say edibles?

Maybe: Mj can modulate immune system adversely and cause arterial constriction, worse if inhaled, but still present to a lesser degree ingested. Best to avoid entirely.  And get help for your cannabis addiction.

Not if you mean . . : If by GCA you are referring to Giant Cell Arteritis then absolutely not. This is a serious auto-immune disorder that can lead to blindness. Relative complications from prednisone 2 months after gastric bypass surgery are negligible compared to the health threats of this disease and marijuana won't change its course. Follow the orders of the doctor who diagnosed you completely and immediately!

It is safe: There is no drug interactions. However, always consult your physician for the change of dose regimen or an alternative drug of choice that may strictly be required.

Prednisone: Prednisone does suppress the Immune system.  However it depends on how much and for how long.  As a rule within 2 to 4 weeks your immune system should bounce back to normal. People on prednisone or recovering from being on prednisone usually do no have to avoid people.

Yes: It is bad. May lead to other addictions  and may also worsen other psychiatric problems. Talk to your doctor if you feel like you need something to make you feel good.

Somewhat to very: Marijuana is no longer the mellow 70s drug that it is frequently referenced as. Growers have bred it to be many times as potent and sellers even lace it with other chemicals (bleach, formaldehyde, cocaine) to enhance the experience.
