Different options: The face has a lot of things in it both in the skin and below it.  Sweat glands, hair follicles and skin cysts as well as lymph nodes, fatty tissue, nerves, vessels and other things.  Is the lump growing, inflamed, painful, painless, draining, recurrent or constant, moveable or fixed...?  Each of these (and many more) will provide your doc the answers as to what it is and what needs to be done.

hi. i have a lump in my cheek, under the skin, right next to the tragus. i have had multiple on the other side, but they have disappeared. help?

Lymph nodes: There are lymph nodes in front of the ear that become inflamed with infection around the eye, cheek or ear. Identify and treat the underlying infection and the nodes  should shrink. For confirmation, see you doctor.

i have a very painful lump in my cheek thats getting worse. i have a feeling that it is a cheek abscess and i'm very worried.  how are these treated?

By draining it: If you have an abscess, the way to treat it is to have it drained. This is a very quick and easy procedure. The doctor will numb up your skin and use a sterile scalpel to open the abscess. Once it drains you will feel 100% better! Please don't wait and suffer. It will only get worse and more painful.

i have a small lump in my cheek that i can move when i touch it its on my left bottom jaw line i noticed it this afternoo, and i don't know what it is?

Evaluation needed: I can't tell you what it is.  It will take an exam to determine this.  But lumps and bumps are common.  Do you have pain?  How long has it been there?  How large is it?  Is it growing?  If you are concerned , have pain, or it does not go away then talk to your parents about scheduling an evaluation with your doctor.

i have a lump in my cheek near my upper molars. hasnt gone away after 5 days. then i realzed a lump inside tongue. its inside the tongue.? causes?im16

Lumps: A lump in most places should be evaluated.  The lump in your cheek near the upper molars may very well be a normal duct of the salivary gland to the mouth, but it could be something else too.  A lump in your tongue could be from accidental trauma or bite to an actual growth.  Best to get it checked out by an ENT specialist who can evaluate and provide options for management.

had a root canal over a year ago and i noticed my gums and cheek is swollen with a lump in my cheek but no pain what so ever. what could this be?

Abscess ?: There may be residual bacteria in the tooth or the bone. Please have your dentist take a look.

: I strongly urge you to be examined by an ENT or at least a regular physician for facial pain and presence of a lump in your cheek. Any facial infections or painful lesions  require accurate diagnosis and prompt proper treatment. A blocked salivary gland or an inflamed/infected cyst are possibilities here.

No way: No way to tell without seeing, feeling lump.  Need to know size, location, texture, may need biopsy, and so many other things.  Put down the computer, pick up your phone, call your dentist for an examination.

i have a bony lump in my cheek after having lower wisdom tooth extraction. it's not bothering me but what is this and is it serious?

Not to Worry: Depending on when your surgery was, a cellulitis is a firm swelling in soft tissue and can be a prelim to abcess (infection) . If the ext. was a while ago a lump like you're talking about can just be left over from the incision and flap made to get to the wisdom tooth and generally will resolve on its own. Never hurts to have the surgeon take a peek just to ease your mind! Cellulitis hurts usually

i recently had dental xrays ..an area of a lighter grey was shown..my dentist dosent know wat it is..so shes made a referal to maxofacial...since the xray i found a lump in my cheek lining you carnt see it but i can feel it.what can this mean?

Concerned: I know you are concerned about both findings but it's too difficult to even give a good educated guess about what's going on with such little information to go on.
