Often the finding is incidental and has no specific cause/ importance. Sometimes an incomplete inspiration can exaggerate markings.

Comparison with previous chest x-rays to determine chronicity and/or cause may be necessary.

: Reticulations in the lungs are a sign of pulmonary fibrosis. In your case the findings are at both lung bases only. Did you ever have bronchopneumonia? If not, this may be idiopathic. I recommend consulting a pulmonologist for evaluation,advice and followup. Appropriate testing will be done.

It might be you didn't take a deep enough breath to inflate the area (making it less dense), or old thickening is present. The other wording just means they found nothing definite that would require treatment.
