a piece of white skin on my gum behind last molar pain and it's loose but won't come off. gum is swollen around tooth. i don't smoke. is this cancer?

See your dentist!: Your best bet is to have your dentist check this tissue to be sure! While "white" gum tissue is abnormal, it is more than likely hyperkeratosis, which can be white in color! The picture I've added is from my personal photo library and is what oral cancer can look like.  This is best handled by your oral health professional to be absolutely sure!

No: Chewing gum will not tighten up the tissues in your chin and neck the way other exercises will reduce fat, nor tone and strengthen the muscles in certain other parts of your body.

throughout the day ill find myself biting my bottom gums and this is been going on for years but today they got really bad and feel shredded in a way. theres 2 sores it feels like and a lot of of loose skin. what can i do to speed up the healing?

Lower Gingiva: It's really pretty hard to bite your lower gingiva... teeth are suppose to contact other teeth. If you have a severe overbite, I can imagine it possibly happening, and for that you would need a local orthodontic consultation. If you haven't explained what you're biting correctly and it is a cheek biting habit, you'll have to attempt to break it.

Benign: let it fall off by itself- totally benign unless bleeding.

Jaw pain: I'm not sure what your question is. Since you are in pain, especially with an ongoing problem that has not gone away for years, the logical and smart approach would be to see a dentist to evaluate the need to remove your problematic wisdom tooth and make sure you have no other dental problems that require  treatment.

Need more info...: Without visualizing your 'white skin patch' it is difficult to determine what it is exactly.  My advice is to have your doctor examine it; and maybe even a dermatologist visit might be in order to diagnose it correctly.

Patches: Sounds like vitiligo. You should start by seeing a dermatologist

i have thick white skin growing under my fingernails.  what is the cause?  what can i do about that?

Fungal?: If you have no other skin problem such as psoriasis, the problem is likely from a fungal infection (the same fungus causing athlete's foot).  Topical antifungal agent may help but a prolonged course of antifungal agent by mouth may be needed to eradicate it. Laser Rx may help but I have not been too impressed with the results thus far.

what cream or medication can i give my daughter aged 1 year 10 months as she has white skin patches on her bottom?

Hard to say: White patches sometimes just represents healing skin with less pigment. It may need nothing at all but time for the skin to complete healing. If the area breaks out often a barrier material like zinc oxide or petroleum jelly may be protective. I would need to see it to know, which we cannot do on this forum.
