A piece of white skin on my gum behind last molar pain and it's loose but won't come off. gum is swollen around tooth. i don't smoke. is this cancer?

See your dentist!: Your best bet is to have your dentist check this tissue to be sure! While "white" gum tissue is abnormal, it is more than likely hyperkeratosis, which can be white in color! The picture I've added is from my personal photo library and is what oral cancer can look like. This is best handled by your oral health professional to be absolutely sure!

Probably not: At your age, unless you smoke tobacco or marijuana, or unless you have a problem with alcohol abuse, risk of cancer is low. That said, see your Dentist to determine the cause of your problem and the appropriate plan of treatment.
