i am factor 5 heterozygous. found out only cause my thyroid doctor ran a bunch of test. i have never had a clot but want to have lipo. is this safe?

Yes: Provided your hypothyroidism is well controlled, and you have no other medical problems, then you would be a good candidate. Proper thyroid replacement is critical to healing. I have performed hundreds of liposuction procedures on hypothyroid patients, well controlled, with excellent results. Consult with your surgeon for further details and evaluation of your risks and benefits.

Liposuction: Of the neck is a procedure that permanently removes fat. The procedure can be done under local or general anesthesia. Patients are back to work and social activities in a day or two. If the neck skin has good elasticity then a sharper jawline and neck line can result. Make sure the physician is board certified and can show you many before and after pictures of their patients.

While liposuction: Will reduce the fat deposits in your neck, it does not tighten skin.  At age 59, needing a facelift to fix the jawline and jowls is quite likely.  Best to see a plastic surgeon for a consultation in person.

do any doctors know about chin lipo. i just got chin/neck lipo 2 weeks ago and the selling has been going down well but now i feel like im puffy again. can i gain weight that fast or whats going on?

: When one gains weight, it isn't just in one particular part of the body, so even if you did gain some weight in two weeks, it would be negligible in your neck. You may still be a bit swollen from the procedure. You can always visit your surgeon for a post operative evaluation.

what is the turkey neck liposuction procedure like?

Pretty simple: The fat is removed with small suction cannulas from just 
below the surface of the skin and the compression is placed on the neck to let skin heal and tighten to the in the new position.

can chin liposuction cause numbness in your neck? i've read that chin liposuction can sometimes damage nerves and cause numbness. is that true? is it permanent?

As : As the skin is lifted to perform neck liposuction you may (but not necessarily) experience some temporary skin numbness. This shouldn't be permanent, in my experience, as the nerve endings should grow back to resupply the skin.

Depending : Depending on your age and skin elasticity the skin can shrink wrap back down after liposuction. In patients who have skin that we are concerned that the skin won't shrink back properly a facelift or necklift may be warranted to optimize the final result.

Follicular trauma: Most likely the general trauma in the area has induced a resting state in some of the hair follicles.  This should revert to normal as the tissues recover, but will probably take several months.

what causes lumpiness after chin liposuction? i've read some forum comments about people having lumps in their neck after chin liposuction. is that normal? does it go away?

There : There may be some lumpiness in the early postoperative phase as collagen is laid into the wound. This should resolve after a few weeks to months. There is also a chance of uneven fat removal because of the inherent structure of the skin and subcutaneous tissues. This does not happen in every patient but there is a risk for this complication.
