Second opinion.: At your age, heart disease possible but onlikely. Did the doc do an EKG? Chest Xray? if not, get a second opinion from an internist.

Upper Jaw Pain: Sinusitis is an inflammation or infection of the sinus cavity. You have several sinuses, two of which (r + l) are the maxillary sinuses, in your upper jaw. So, inflammation or infection of the maxillary sinuses commonly causes pain in the back, or posterior, of the upper jaw, or even the cheekbone area. An examination can determine if that's the problem. I would recommend you see an ent. Good luck.

Dentist first: If it is a "jaw" or dental pain the dentist can help.  If it might be your sinuses...a dentist can help.  If the dental exam shows nothing positive or something that stands out...then go to an ENT.

Yes and No: You should see your dentist and be evaluated for TMJ as this sounds like a tmj/stress issue. If the TMJ is okay then please see your md for further evaluation.

See your dentist: You did not say how long ago the tooth was extracted. There may be a residual infection, there may be another complication, or it just may be normal healing. All the best...

: This could be from a sinus infection, if you have been congested for a week or more. Sinus infections often occur without fever. Or, even though this is in the areas of some of the sinuses, it may not be that at all. Could be tension/stress or other illness...please see your doctor for a complete history and an exam if this continues and/or worsens.

Sure: Emotional stress and anxiety can make any and all pains feel worse. That's one of the characteristics of pain... how one feels or perceives pain is influenced by one's state of mind, one's state of emotions. It can go the other way too... such as in a fight-or-flight response, where you don't feel the pain at all, as you're running from that raccoon chasing you.

Regardless of the degree of pain, swelling, soreness, there are injuries to structures that patients are not always aware of. There are also possible future problems related to the injury that patient need to be made aware of. Please see a dentist asap to be checked out.
