A member asked:

Can sinus and stress cause tension in temples, neck and shoulders, pain on nose and near eye sockets (worse when walking) and upper jaw pain also sensitive to light and sounds (prev. diagnosed with panic disorder and severe anxiety)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sure: Emotional stress and anxiety can make any and all pains feel worse. That's one of the characteristics of pain... how one feels or perceives pain is influenced by one's state of mind, one's state of emotions. It can go the other way too... such as in a fight-or-flight response, where you don't feel the pain at all, as you're running from that raccoon chasing you.
