How is upper jaw pain related to sinusitis?

Upper Jaw Pain: Sinusitis is an inflammation or infection of the sinus cavity. You have several sinuses, two of which (r + l) are the maxillary sinuses, in your upper jaw. So, inflammation or infection of the maxillary sinuses commonly causes pain in the back, or posterior, of the upper jaw, or even the cheekbone area. An examination can determine if that's the problem. I would recommend you see an ent. Good luck.

Yes: The roots of your upper molars are in close proximity to the maxillary sinus. Sinusitis can mimic upper tooth pain and vice versa. Get an examination from your local otolaryngologist.
