Contact DDS: See the dentist to make sure this problem is not of dental etiology, whether with the extraction site or another tooth or periodontal involvement. If the dentist feels this is not dentally related, you may be referred to your MD.

Reexamination: Return to the Dentist or Aoral Surgeon who removed the decayed tooth. You may have another infected tooth, a fractured tooth, an infected sinus, or one of many other possibilities. But someone will have to physically examine you to diagnose the cause of your pain.
