I would suspect that: whatever was contributing to the rhomboid muscle spasm may also be contributing to some pleuritic chest pain, neck and back pain.  Rhomboid spasm is often caused by overuse of your shoulder/arm from overhead activities. These same activities may have caused some intercostal muscle strain as well as neck and back pain. Ask your provider to help sort this out especially excluding any cardiac causes.

Painful inspiration: at your age it is most likely Pleurisy, look it up. Possible Pneumothorax can occur spontaneously. Worst would be a blood clot in your lungs. Smoke, birth control, body habitus, family history, surgery and travel adjust odds of one versus the others

Musculoskeletal: Anything that hurts worse with movement is usually in the muscles or joints.  This could be a rib strain or costochondritis.  Either way, an anti-inflammatory (advil (ibuprofen) or aleve) may help.

See a cardiologist: Chest pain could be cardiac, esophageal or musculoskeletal. Because you have a family hx of heart issues, cardiac problems need to be ruled out- so first see a cardiologist to make sure no cardiac problem exists- rest can be taken care by your pmd.

Time to see a doc: A variety of clinical scenarios may account for your symptoms. Left sided chest pain has to be addressed immediately in ruling out a heart attack.

Esophageal origin: Have seen several cases with similar symptoms and neg cardiax work up.  Eound related to distal esophageal inflammation with some mediastinal extension causing symptoms as defined on esophagoscopy.  Partly due to reflux.  Omeprazole may help.

Hard to say: There are many causes of chest pain and I am not certain what you mean by side pain. Anyway, heart problems, gastrointestinal problems, musculoskeletal problems, lung problems, to name a few. The exact nature of your pain, a physical examination, and appropriate tests such as an EKG should lead to the answer., .

Unclear cause: If pain alters with position change or with deep breathing, potentially could be pericarditis (inflammation of the skin around the heart) or muscle/skeletal in the rib/chest wall.  More worrisome causes could be a pulmonary embolism (clot in lungs) or problems with aorta, or blockage in your heart arteries (although given your age, the others may be more likely).  
Your doctor can assess this.

Gastroenterologist: Consult a gastroenterologist. Appropriate testing will be done. A cardiac cause in your age group is unlikely unless you have valvular or pericardial disease. Common bile duct stones or stricture,hiatal hernia, gastritis,abdominal adhesions come to mind.

: These symptoms warrant evaluation by a physician. Even at your age a cardiac assessment is advisable, although other possibilities include a radiculopathy from an vertebral spur or bulging disc as well as an esophageal disorder. Exertional shortness of breath( could be from anemia), hypertension &amp; rapid pulse are concerning. I recommend starting with a visit to a cardiologist.
