what is better for chronoc anxiety lamictal or neurontin (gabapentin)?

Niether: Niether have strong evidence supporting their use in anxiety. Neurontin's effects on anxiety are thought to be mediated through its effects on the inhibitory neurotransmitter GABA (similar to, but much more subtly than, benzodiazepines). Lamictal is still being investigated for use in anxiety because it can reduce activity of the excitatory neurotransmitter glutamine.

is visual snow ever effectively treated or life long? ive tried gabapentin and am on lamictal but so far nothing has helped. this is brutal.

No Rx yet: Visual snow is the perception of snow or static as seen on a TV screen that isn't tuned to a correct channel. The cause is unknown but researchers this year have discovered an area of abnormal brain function(hyper metabolism) on functional MRI that appears to be the cause. Much more work needs to be done scientifically. Unfortunately, for now there is no definite evidence of a specific treatment.

how does gabapentin compare to glutamate-blockers like budipin, lamictal, remacemide and memantime?  is gabapentin a weaker glutamate-blocker?

Be more specific: The drugs you name are quite different from Gabapentin which is NOT prescribed for the conditions the other drugs are used for. Ask your question with more information. Are you bipolar?? Do you have chronic pain????

i take zoloft, lamictal, gabapentin and ambien, i just took an oral drug test for work - can they confirm that i'm on rx if i get any false positives?

You can!: Gather together (if you don't still have copies) proof of your Rx's from the Dr(s) and simply present them if necessary. Be as confident as you can and know that for many jobs it would be illegal for anyone to discriminate against you for being treated. You might need to show them evidence - but that's fine! You should be ok.

Yes, you can: There s no interactions between these drugs. This is very common combination of medications to manage chronic neuropathic pain. Of course you may experience some side effects, but  remember that your doctor has prescribed these medications because he/she has thought that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Migraine prophylaxis: First why are you taking imdur, clonidine and Prazoson. You are young and did not reveal any diagnosis of hypertension or heart disease. For palpitation this is not the appropriate medication either. Beta blocker, calcium channel blocker could be used for palpitation and migraine prophylaxis. depakote also could be used for prophylaxis.

Discuss with doctor: It sounds like you are really struggling. However, you are on a number of very potent medications, and such recommendations cannot be made in this setting. Suggest that you contact your doctor regarding your concerns about the lack of response to the current regimen. Too many medications: Nope.  Only because you are on too many medications at once. This level of medications cannot possibly be safe in any circumstance.  There is no scientific study to tell us what all these medications at the same time can cause or do to your brain or health.  You are being overmedicated.  

Please get to a different mental health provider for a medication evaluation as soon as possible.   Please.

i've had memory problems with valium and neurontin, which affect gaba, and lamictal and vimpat, (lacosamide) which don't, but not with depakote, which does. why?

You're an individual: Any medication which treats seizures can potentially affect memory. But when it comes down to it, everyone is an individual, so you might get a side-effect noone else gets or you might avoid a side-effect that everyone else does get.
