Is visual snow ever effectively treated or life long? ive tried gabapentin and am on lamictal but so far nothing has helped. this is brutal.

No Rx yet: Visual snow is the perception of snow or static as seen on a TV screen that isn't tuned to a correct channel. The cause is unknown but researchers this year have discovered an area of abnormal brain function(hyper metabolism) on functional MRI that appears to be the cause. Much more work needs to be done scientifically. Unfortunately, for now there is no definite evidence of a specific treatment.
