MRI next step : This could be caused by a problem within the knee so an MRI is a good idea if x-rays were normal. Radiating pain in the lower extremity can also be nerve related so additional testing may be needed if MRI doesn't show the cause.

More than Knee.: You may more going on here than just the knee. A month is a long time , especially when there is no improvement. It is time to consult with a specialist.

Arthritis: There are a number of possibilities but the most likely is some form of arthritis of the knee.  Pain down the leg occurs in this condition due to the alteration of leg motion as you guard to protect the arthritis.  Try an NSAID such as 400-800 mg of ibuprofen (along with a stomach acidity counteractant like omeprazole), for a week or two ..  If that fails, see your family doctor.

Not commonly: You maybe having symptoms from your lumbar spine. At age 30, you are on average too young to develop significant arthritis in your knee. There is a chance your knee pain and leg pain is coming from your back. Go see an orthopaedic surgeon or spinal specialist.

Get examined!: Your symptoms suggest patellofemoral( kneecap) pain. Your 'cyst' may be causing the pain in the back of your knee ( popliteal/ Bakers' cyst ).Not sure if your 'partial' ACL injury is causing symptoms or not without a thorough examination( it can cause cysts in the knee joint occasssionally.) Strain: Muscle or ligament strain or overuse is likely. Knee tendonitis is another possibility. Perhaps inappropriate footwear or poor walking technique were causes. Resting, alternating cold and warm applications and taking anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen or naproxen for several days should help. If symptoms persist or worsen see your physician or an orthopedic specialist for evaluation.

Yes, get it checked: With immobilization you should have been displaying signs of improvement.  I would suggest having it examined and possibly having further diagnostic tests such as a ct, MRI or ultrasound to evaluate the soft tissue.  Radiographs (x-rays) only highlight the bones and joints.  Not only could you have a soft tissue injury but the burning you are feeling could be impingement of a nerve in the area.

: It hasn’t been stated how this injury might have occurred. Whether it was a traumatic injury to the area or an overuse injury from repetitive use from either walking or running. Or some other possible physical activity. The areas that describes sounds like the peroneus longus  tendon.  if it’s from running you might want to see a sports medicine podiatrist Or see your family doctor

May be from back: Pain that follows this pattern may be coming from the spine, especially if it radiates bellow the knee.  Your doctor will need more history and a physical exam to know where the pain is coming from for sure.  There are other things that can cause this pattern of pain as well.
