Kidney tumor: Usually this is called angiomyolipoma, which is a benign tumor.  It does not metastasize. There is no treatment necessary if small. If they are very large, may require treatment due to propensity to bleed.  The ultrasound appearance is suggestive, not diagnostic.  CT or MRI can confirm the diagnosis.

Vague.: What test cleared your liver, kidneys and GB. Any test short of a CT or Mri is non-conclusive.  Doubt the lipoma is the etiology.

Lipomas: Are benign fatty lesions sometimes confused with sebaceous cysts.  Generally there is no harm with doing nothing.  If they are recurrently inflamed and or causing pain one can have them excised.   This can be done by either a primary care physician or surgeon.  If they are large, i would lean toward having a surgeon excise them.

i have a lipoma on my lower back  when i press on it . it hurts  i heard it is connected with a nerve  so is this a dangerous lipoma ?

Safer than u think: Normally a lipoma is not connected to a nerve, but it may compress one.  These are not dangerous, there are no nerves there that are likely to be seriously affected.

can i have cholecystectomy and lipoma on lower back removed at same time?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but...: ...It may not be worth the trouble. Doing this would require "flipping" the patient with a breathing tube in place under general anesthesia, which adds some risk (and a lot of time) to the operation.  If the lipoma is otherwise small and could be removed under local anesthesia, i would recommend that.

after deep lipoma removal from lower back would it be necessary for jp drains?

A choice: The surgeon will want to empty the space to advance approximation and healing.
If very bloody, then aspiration of hematoma can reduce infection and bruising.
Several surgical decisions.
Jp are closed system, in contrast to an open external drain.

Lipoma: Lipoma is a likely diagnosis, but a physician would have to diagnose it. Lack of redness,pain and tenderness means that it is not inflamed or infected and may not have to be removed unless it's in an area of the body where it's subjected to continual irritation or unless it's growing or unless the examining physician recommends its removal.

if you did trauma to your lower back causing lipomas and two years later they remove 75 grams of lipoma from above the l5 an l 4 would it cause postur?

Accepted Answer

Lipoma: Lipomas are generally subcutaneous or intramuscular the presence or removal of should not have any effect your posture.  All the structural and support elements should still be in place unless you had some type of spinal surgery, in which case you should contact your back surgeon.

do you think it's possible that a large amount of lipomas caused by trauma in the lower back by the l4 l5 area could cause you not to be able to bend?

Accepted Answer

Lipomas secondary: Seek help in investigating orthopedic problem. Don't neglect it. 41  is young for backache-any trauma?
